Shannon McKinley

Shannon McKinley joined our firm in May of 2010. Shannon focuses on commercial and business litigation. She has both prosecuted and defended actions on behalf of a wide range of corporations and individuals in litigation involving contract disputes, employment suits, guaranty suits, mechanic lien actions, bankruptcy litigation and probate litigation. Since joining the firm she has drafted and successfully argued many legal memoranda, pleadings and motions on various topics. She has also worked on multimillion dollar asset sales and purchases helping the clients strike a quick and cost effective deal.

She began her legal career in 2009 in New York working at an insurance defense firm where she zealously represented insurance companies during all stages of litigation. Shannon believes that the cornerstone of effective representation is communication. She meets the demands of her clients by aggressively advocating their needs while always paying attention to detail and the bottom line.

She received her AB in Classics from Harvard College in 2005 and her degree in law from Villanova University School of Law in 2008. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association and New York Bar Association. After college she also worked on several successful senate, congressional and statewide elections.
