William J. Hurley, III
A veteran attorney with more than 25 years experience, he has practiced extensively and quite successfully in banking and commercial law, including banking and lending related litigation and workouts, documentation and closing of loans and other secured transactions, loan participation agreements, regulatory and compliance matters. Mr. Hurley's practice also emphasizes real estate and business related transactions and related litigation including purchases, sales, lending, exchanges, development, leasing, land use, business and shareholder disputes, eminent domain, mechanics lien and environmental matters. Other areas of his practice include probate and estate matters.
Mr. Hurley has worked closely over the years with some of the largest banks and leading manufacturers in the American Midwest. Mr. Hurley has practiced in the Chicago metropolitan area and collar counties including Lake, McHenry, DuPage, Kane, Kendall,Will, DeKalb, and Winnebago Counties since his admission to the bar in 1982. He has successfully briefed and argued matters in the Illinois Appellate Courts. He is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and Federal District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Hurley has served as Special Assistant to the Attorney General of Illinois, and Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, the City of Bedford Park and other municipalities in the Chicago area. Mr. Hurley received an undergraduate degree in Geology from Knox College in 1977. He then spent two years as a well site geologist in the Gulf Coast States. Upon his return to Illinois he enrolled in John Marshall Law School and obtained his law degree (J.D.) in 1982. He is a member of Illinois Bar Association.
